Grid Transformation

I have been fascinated by the beauty of geometric patterns especially tessellations. Given a grid and a basic pentagon-based tessellation pattern called "Cairo", I did some exploratory 2D geometry studies and used parametric design tools to design and generate a quirky, mutated grid pattern. A series transformations have been done using only a few operations: overlay, rotate, scale, and displacement.
